Remember, remember!
The fifth of november,
The Gunpowder, treason, and plot;
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!

Tomorrow Is Halloween!
Halloween is my favorite time of year!
Other than Beltane...but that's another story.
Kids will be tricking and treating
Decorations will be strewn:
Costumes will be donned
Disney Horror Movies will be replayed on every cable station
Parties will be had
Some of them will suck:
And I have so many costumes....
HAPPY HALLOWEEN ALL!

The Raven- Part Two (10-20-13)
And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
Thrilled me--filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating,
"Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door,
Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door.
This it is, and nothing more."
Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitated then no longer,
"Sir", said I, "or madam, truly your forgiveness I implore.

But the fact is, I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I heard you." Here I opened wide the door;--
Darkness there and nothing more.

The Raven - Part One (10-18-13)
Once upon a midnight dreary,
while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping,
suddenly there came a tapping,
As of someone gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door
"Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door;
Only this, and nothing more."
Ah, distinctly I remember, it was in the bleak December,
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; vainly I sought to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow, sorrow for the lost Lenore.
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore,
Nameless here forevermore.

Weird Thursdays
Ken Spivey asked me out on a date.
I was quite flustered:
He wants to fly into Seattle and have some dates with him while he does the tourist thing...
It was all very flattering....and my boyfriend and I have a Con = Vegas rule. (What happens at cons, stays at cons...though I tell him everything anyways)... How do I explain that to Ken?
I called my boyfriend (who is currently out of town for the next 2 weeks) and let him know the situation. He was understanding and supportive, reminded me that he didn't own me and would probably want to give me a high five.
Too much weird to process....

Getting sass from a client over the phone
Answering the phone at work is part of all of our jobs. Sometimes its just that someone else is busy and you have to take a message, they were transferred to the wrong person or they called the main line of the office and you answered first.
When clients call in, they want a specific person. We have designated clients that we work with personally. A certain said client didn't know who I was (I only started 2 months ago), didn't recognize who I was and proceeded to be snippy with me and interrogate me on my purpose at the company.
He was greeted with some snark in return. The kicker was when I told my coworkers about it when they returned from lunch, they weren't mad. They were amused that he got a taste of his own medicine. Because he is a "difficult client".
And he dialed into "I don't have time for your BS" at Sass Central.
