Time and Schedules

I hate being late. The idea of arriving after the fact, missing a bus, or have to rush, makes me very uncomfortable. Growing up my grandmother and I subscribed to the same concept:

If you are early, you are on time. If you are on time, you are late. And if you are late, the may the gods have mercy on you. (That last part is reworded for my tastes)

Arriving less than 10 minutes early

So, my boyfriend likes to be directly on time, allotting no additional time for error, traffic or early buses. He would prefer to arrive just as the bus is arriving and having to jog a bit to not miss it.

While, I on the other hand panic if I have a small window to arrive. I prefer to be at the bus stop waiting.

This leads to many moments of me rushing around because we are battling against each others time table systems.

On the outside, I'm just panicked:

But on the inside, I'm frazzled and grumpy:

Priorities: Apparently they are slightly out of whack for some "Americans"

Being upset that the new Miss America is of Indian descent:

Being upset that it happened near 9/11 and making Al-Qaeda jokes:

Not paying attention to real news:

  • Navy Yard Shooting
  • Syria ,Chemical Weapons, and the UN
  • The 1,000 people unaccounted for in Colorado flooding
  • Studies investigating the possibility of a icy comet starting life on Earth
And anything else!
